Ahmedabad: Farmers are depressed, and in deep trouble, due to incessant unseasonal rain in Gujarat for last few days. The crops in the fields as well as ready crops stored in the open area has been damaged severely. Heavy rain last night, in many parts of the state, has further increased the concerns of farmers. Meanwhile, Meteorological Centre, Ahmedabad has issued a forecast for further unseasonal rain in next 2 -3 days in the state.
Meteorological Centre has today predicted for rain at isolated places of North Gujarat and Saurashtra. Few districts of Saurashtra experienced heavy rain yesterday, whereas Ahmedabad and few areas of Gujarat had light to light to moderate shower. Meteorological Centre issued a forecast for rain at isolated places in Saurashtra and Kutch region today. It has also predicted for a heat wave, once the round of unseasonal rain ends in Gujarat.
Saurashtra, Jamnagar,Junagadh,Porbandar, Bhavnagar, Amreli,Dwarka and Kutch, Banaskantha and Sabarkantha and Patan are likely to have a few spells of showers today. The wind speed will be 40 kms. per hour, according to the forecast. There is possibility of dry weather in state for next 3 days.
