A man flew from Bangalore to Kolkata to shoot dead his mother-in-law before turning the gun on himself. His father-in-law escaped after he locked the house and ran out shouting for help. The incident happened in an upscale apartment in the city. Polic found a note from the 42-year-old man in which he confessed that he had also killed his wife at their home in Bengaluru before travelling to Kolkata to commit the second murder. Begaluru police rushed to the man’s home in the Whitefield area and found his wife’s body.
The man was identified as Amit Agarwal, a chartered accountant who was married to one Shilpi Dhandhania. The couple also have a 10-year-old son. They were on the verge of divorce, media reports said. Police said the couple’s son was safe.
