Gandhinagar: Uproar has been continued in the Parliament, after the two-year sentence in a criminal defamation case to Rahul Gandhi. The government and the opposition are locked in allegations and counter-allegations. Congress MLAs today created uproar on this matter during the question hour in the session at Gujarat Assembly. Before the proceedings of the assembly, Congress members created ruckus as soon as they entered the house wearing black clothes. Subsequently, all Congress MLAs have been suspended for the rest of Budget session of the assembly.
Rishikesh Patel presented a motion to suspend all Congress MLAs
Minister of Parliamentary affairs Rishikesh Patel presented a motion to suspend all Congress MLAs till conclusion of the assembly session. His proposal was supported by cabinet minister Balvant Singh Rajput, the Speaker Shankar Chaudhary said that the decision taken in the Lok Sabha cannot be discussed or opposed in the assembly house, hence all Congress MLAs are hereby suspended for the entire session.
Protests wearing black clothes
As soon as the procedure of today’s session commenced, Congress MLAs started protest wearing black clothes, holding posters and raising slogans against the Modi government for the action taken against Rahul. Following the uproar in the House, the Speaker immediately suspended all Congress MLAs for the entire session.
